NOTE
The functional plates have a ceramic ►
non-stick coating. It prevents food
from sticking. It is also resistant to
scratching, high temperatures, can
be cleaned easily and is environment
friendly.

Lights up when the appli-
ance is connected to the
mains.
Green (3)
Lights up when the appli-
ance heats up and goes out
when the appliance is ready
for operation.
Startup
Unpacking
Remove the appliance, all accessory 
parts and the user manual from the
box.
Remove all packaging materials and 
protective foils from the product and
the accessories before using it for the
rst time.
NOTE
Never remove the rating plate or any ►
warning signs on the appliance.
Keep the original packaging during ►
the warranty or guarantee period of
the appliance in order to return the
appliance in the packaging in the
event of a warranty or guarantee
claim. Transport damage will invali-
date the warranty or guarantee.
Checking the delivery contents
Check for visible signs of damage or 
missing items.
Report incomplete or damaged con- 
tents to your supplier immediately.
Before using for the rst time
Insert a set of function plates into the 
appliance as described in the section
Changing the function plates (page
26).
Wipe the function plates with a damp 
cloth.
Lightly oil the function plates with veg- 
etable oil and fold the lid down.
Insert the plug into a mains socket. 
The red power indicator (2) and the
green temperature indicator (3) light
up and the appliance starts heating.
This can take a few minutes.
Wait until the green temperature indi- 
cator (3) extinguishes.
Pull the plug out of the mains socket 
and allow the appliance to cool down
completely.
