NOTE
The wafe mixture should have a ►
thick texture but still smoothly ow
off the spoon.
The ingredients used should be fresh ►
and be at room temperature.
Wafes taste best when they are ►
freshly prepared.
Work quickly so that the wafe ►
mixture does not burn onto the lower
hotplate.
Preparation:
Prepare the wafe mixture.
Insert the wafe plates (13) into the
appliance as described in the section
Replacing the hotplates.
Oil the hotplates each time before us-
ing – not before each wafe. Saturate
a kitchen roll with vegetable oil and
wipe it over the hotplates.
Fold the lid (6) downwards.
Insert the plug into the mains socket.
The red power indicator (2) lights
up, the green temperature indicator

heating. This can take a few minutes.
Fold up the lid (6).
Fill the middle of the left and right
halves of the lower hotplate with the
wafe mixture.
Fold the lid down without locking it.
NOTE
If too much wafe mixture is used, ►
it can ooze out of the side of the
appliance. This particularly applies
to mixtures with raising agents. Use
less mixture when lling the next
time.
If you ll with too little mixture, the ►
wafe form will be smaller.
During baking, lift up the lid briey to
inspect the wafe. Allow it to bake to a
golden brown colour.
NOTE
The rst wafes may stick to the ►
upper hotplate although it was oiled.
This will stop happening after a few
times.
Remove the freshly baked wafe.
NOTE
In order not to damage the coating of ►
the hotplate, only use heat-resistant
cutlery made of plastic or wood.
To prevent the wafes from soften- ►
ing, do not lay the nished wafes on
top of each other.
