NOTE
The wafe mixture should have a
thick texture but still smoothly ow
off the spoon.
The ingredients used should be fresh
and be at room temperature.
Wafes taste best when they are
freshly prepared.
Work quickly so that the wafe
mixture does not burn onto the lower
hotplate.
Preparation:
Prepare the wafe mixture.
Insert the wafe plates (13) into the
appliance as described in the section
Replacing the hotplates.
Oil the hotplates each time before us-
ing – not before each wafe. Saturate
a kitchen roll with vegetable oil and
wipe it over the hotplates.
Fold the lid (6) downwards.
Insert the plug into the mains socket.
The red power indicator (2) lights
up, the green temperature indicator
(3) lights up and the appliance starts
heating. This can take a few minutes.
Fold up the lid (6).
Fill the middle of the left and right
halves of the lower hotplate with the
wafe mixture.
Fold the lid down without locking it.
NOTE
If too much wafe mixture is used,
it can ooze out of the side of the
appliance. This particularly applies
to mixtures with raising agents. Use
less mixture when lling the next
time.
If you ll with too little mixture, the
wafe form will be smaller.
During baking, lift up the lid briey to
inspect the wafe. Allow it to bake to a
golden brown colour.
NOTE
The rst wafes may stick to the
upper hotplate although it was oiled.
This will stop happening after a few
times.
Remove the freshly baked wafe.
NOTE
In order not to damage the coating of
the hotplate, only use heat-resistant
cutlery made of plastic or wood.
To prevent the wafes from soften-
ing, do not lay the nished wafes on
top of each other.
