Prevention of damage
CAUTION
Damage is possible from improper use of the device!
Observe the following instructions to avoid damage:
Before connecting the device, compare the connection

data (voltage and frequency) on the rating plate with those
of your mains power supply. The data must correspond in
order to avoid damage to the device. If in doubt, ask your
electrical device retailer.
Never immerse the device into water or other liquids.

Always carry the device with the handle and not the connec- ►
ting cable.
Do not pull the mains cable to remove the plug from the

mains socket.
Do not crush the connecting cable. (e.g., under doors).
►
Do not expose the connection cable or the device to heat or ►
chemical liquids.
Do not pull the connecting lead across sharp edges or hot
►
surfaces.
Operate the device only when the tank is lled.
►
Pour only water and no other uids or additives into the ►
tank.
Observe the maximum lling level of the tank.
►
Do not leave the device outside and do not expose it to di- ►
rect sunlight or humidity. Do not store the appliance in direct
vicinity of heat sources (such as re, radiators, fan heaters
or other heat radiating devices).
