Special functions of the appliance
The appliance is equipped with an
electronic temperature setting,
which reliably sets and maintains the
selected temperature.
The appliance is equipped with an
automatic safety switch-off. Both
function when the appliance is in a
horizontal or vertical position.
When you insert the plug into the
mains socket, the appliance begins
to heat up and the control indicator
(11) lights up. When the set temper-
ature has been reached, the control
indicator (11) ashes ― the appli-
ance is on standby.
When your grip the handle (6), the
appliance switches itself on (au-
tomatic switch-on, fig. A) and the
control indicator (11) lights up con-
tinuously.
When you let go of the handle (6),
the appliance switches itself off (au-
tomatic safety switch-off, fig. B) and
the control indicator (11) ashes.
To reactivate the appliance, you
must grip the handle (6) again and it
will switch itself on.
The anti-drip system prevents water
from dripping out of the ironing sole at
low temperatures.
The appliance slides smoothly over the
fabric due to the ceramic coating of
the ironing sole (16).
The anti-liming system of the appli-
ance removes calcication from the
water if you use tap water for steam
ironing instead of distilled water (Fill-
ing with water section).
The self-cleaning function removes
calcium residues from the appliance,
see Cleaning and care section.
