Temperature regulator
The following table and the labels at-
tached to garments indicate which temper-
ature setting should be used for ironing.

Special functions of the appliance
The appliance is equipped with an ■
electronic temperature setting,
which reliably sets and maintains the
selected temperature.
The appliance is equipped with an ■
automatic safety switch-off. Both
function when the appliance is in a
horizontal or vertical position.
When you insert the plug into the –
mains socket, the appliance begins
to heat up and the control indicator
(11) lights up. When the set temper-
ature has been reached, the control
indicator (11) ashes ― the appli-
ance is on standby.
When your grip the handle (6), the –
appliance switches itself on (au-
tomatic switch-on, fig. A) and the
control indicator (11) lights up con-
tinuously.
When you let go of the handle (6), –
the appliance switches itself off (au-
tomatic safety switch-off, fig. B) and
the control indicator (11) ashes.
To reactivate the appliance, you –
must grip the handle (6) again and it
will switch itself on.
The ■ anti-drip system prevents water
from dripping out of the ironing sole at
low temperatures.
The appliance slides smoothly over the ■
fabric due to the ceramic coating of
the ironing sole (16).
The ■ anti-liming system of the appli-
ance removes calcication from the
water if you use tap water for steam
ironing instead of distilled water (Fill-
ing with water section).
The ■ self-cleaning function removes
calcium residues from the appliance,
see Cleaning and care section.
