Before using for the rst time
Clean the appliance and the accesso- 
ries as described in the Cleaning and
care section.
Make yourself familiar with the steam 
ironing function of the appliance (Fill-
ing with water and Steam ironing
sections). Switch on the steam func-
tion and iron an old cloth for several
minutes, adding a steam shot from
time to time (Steam shot section).
NOTE
Residual assembly grease may be ►
on the appliance. It is therefore pos-
sible that light odour or smoke could
occur when using for the rst time.
A new appliance can spray con- ►
densed water drops, this stops after
the appliance is used several times.
Perform self-cleaning as described in 
the Self-cleaning section.
