PC Programs Set-up Using RS-232
Step 2: Create a Dial-up connection
Open Dial-up Networking from My computer. Click “Make
new connection”
• Select the standard modem defined during step 1 as the
dial up device
• Enter a dummy telephone number (the number is not
used but has to be defined – write e.g. “123” as the
phone number

• Give the connection a recognizable name e.g. MPDS
