Troubleshooting chart
Engine does not start or is difficult to start.
Possible cause Rectification
Side stand extended and gear engaged Fold in side stand.
Gear engaged and clutch not pressed Select neutral or pull the clutch lever.
No fuel in tank Refuelling ( 130).
Battery flat Recharging battery ( 205).
Overheating protection for starter motor has been
activated. Starter motor can only be operated for
a limited period of time.
Allow the starter motor to cool down for
approx. 1 minute before using it again.
