The batteries supplied can be used for
short periods of operation when the
mains section is not used.
Once flat, the batteries supplied can
be recharged by connecting the Traffic
Assist to the power supply or by using a
standard device approved by the battery
manufacturer.
Check the condition of the battery in the
slide-in compartment on the rear of the
unit.
Remove flat batteries immediately and
have the unit checked over by your local
stockist.
The batteries must satisfy the following

The memory card can be used as a stor-
age medium for road atlases, musical
tracks and pictures.
When not in the unit, the memory card
must be stored in a protected dry place
away from direct sunlight in the packag-
ing supplied. Avoid touching or dirtying
the contact strip.
Do not put down the memory card next
to electrical devices or in the sphere of
magnetic fields because they may
change the saved data.
