Navigation mode
Select ROUTE SETTINGS to choose
the route settings.
X Select by turning the right rotary con-
trol and press to confirm selection.

Select START- to start route guidance.
Select SAVE DESTINATION to jump
to the destination memory menu.

•FAST ROUTE
This selection calculates the shortest
possible journey time.
• SHORT ROUTE
This selection calculates the shortest
possible distance to the destination.
• DYNAMIC ROUTE
Dynamic route guidance is used to
calculate the route, taking current traf-
fic announcements into account.

route guidance with TMC” on
page 137.
Note:
For larger cities or urban areas, the
setting “SHORT ROUTE” is recom-
mended.
Note:
Can only be selected when TMC is
active. See “Switching TMC on/off”
on page 162.
If dynamic route guidance is active,
the routes are calculated using the
“Fastest Route” setting.
