Learning a Beamz song
Top Previous Next
Yeah, you can have lots of fun playing with the various songs and customizing beam
layouts and such, but to get the absolute most out of your Beamz system, we recommend
the following approach to "learning" a particular song:
1.
Without the background melody running, trigger each laser in the first bank of
sounds. When triggering a beam, experiment with breaking the beam continually and
momentarily. For a run down on different trigger types and their behaviors, see
Beamz trigger types .
2.
Switch to the other banks of sounds and trigger each laser, breaking each beam as
explained above.
3.
Next, start the background music, but don't trigger any beams. Instead listen to the
whole background melody. Tap your foot in time to the music.
You'll find after following the procedure above that you've actually "mapped" out the song
and you'll have a better handle on the sequence of melodic changes as well as the
behavior of the Beamz triggers themselves. Again, the more time you can devote to
listening to the various components of a song, the more competent you'll be when you
begin to perform.
