Check “create a virtual switch” but make sure to uncheck vmnic1. Remember, we are creating a virtual
switch without associating with any physical network interface.
You can always associate with a physical NIC as long as the NIC and virtual switch or configured to
be a separate network and will not co-exist with the original VM on the production network. Also, it is
important to note that we are creating an exact mirror image of the production BEA WLS VM so all
the network settings will remain the same.
Take the default name VM Network 2.
