▲ BD CLINICAL ADVANTAGE:
Hemolysis interferes with recommended methodologies (Hexokinase or Glucose
Oxidase) used for glucose analysis. The combination of Sodium Fluoride as the
antiglycolytic agent and EDTA as the anticoagulant yields plasma samples with a
stable glucose result over time and a nonhemolyzed specimen. Therefore BD
Vacutainer
®
Fluoride Tubes containing Disodium EDTA with Sodium Fluoride may
be preferred when storing samples for up to 24 hours.**
