Collection and Transport Swabs

Superior Aerobic Transport

The BBL CultureSwab Collection and Transport System is designed for the

collection and transport of aerobes. Available with Liquid Stuart or Liquid

Amies in over 15 swab and shaft configurations, BBL CultureSwab swabs are

designed to meet both common and unique collection and transport needs.

The swabs are ideal for Gram staining procedures because of minimal

interference or dilution from the transport medium.

Numerous published studies have shown that, compared to competitors,

BBL CultureSwab swabs provide superior performance for microorganism

recovery across the board.

Nitrogen blanket – packaging is flushed

with nitrogen gas prior to closure. Prevents

unwanted media oxidation during storage

to assure optimal performance.

Vi-pak foil wrap – protects media from

unwanted oxidation and moisture expo-

sure. Seals in protective nitrogen blanket.

Waterproof, multi-layer film

packaging – protects media from

evaporation during storage.

5 1/4” long shaft – reaches

tough sampling sites.

Soft rayon or polyester tip –

is non-toxic to microorganisms

and patients.

Color-coded cap – makes it easy to

identify and differentiate between

products for different applications.

Tamper-evident seal – guarantees

single use and product integrity.

Double-action security cap – creates a

watertight seal preventing dried-out or

leaky samples. Increases user safety.

Round-bottom tube design – allows the

tubes to stand upright in traditional racks

for easy processing. No sharp edges to

puncture sterile peel packs!

Large polyurethane sponge – perfect

reservoir for liquid transport media and

non-toxic to bacteria.
