Hardware Description
EStim 2 Option
The new VikingQuest features a second electrical
stimulator option. The EStim 2 connector on the
VikingQuest rear panel delivers +5V, +/-15V, a
stimulus pulse and serial communication lines to the
EStim 2 module. The module contains isolation and
delivery circuits, and is functionally equivalent to the
IES module used for the Viking IV system. The EStim 2
module provides a connector for a stimulus probe and a
bar electrode.
Stimulus Probes
The VikingQuest will accept either the S-402 or S-403
Stimulus Probe. The S-402 functions only in the
Console mode of operation.
Testing
The USBDiagnostics for the VikingQuest are the
primary tool for testing and troubleshooting the
electrical stimulator functional units. Refer to Chapter 6:
Troubleshooting for detailed instructions on using the
diagnostics.
