Tips for Defragmenting
• Defragmentation requires at least 15% free space
on a volume to run successfully. Before
defragmenting a volume, delete any unnecessary
files, such as temporary files.
• Defragment a volume after you have archived
patient data to CD, and deleted the data from hard
drive.
• For long-term studies, defragment the hard drive
before you run a new patient.
• Defragment during periods of low system activity.
