STEP 1

STEP 8

• Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

STEP 6

• Re-install the BBK Throttle Body in reverse

order of the previous steps. If any vacuum ports

are not used in your application then simply

install a rubber vacuum plug on the unused

port/s.

• Disconnect the air inlet, vacuum and water

passage lines from the stock throttle body.

Disconnect the throttle cables from the throttle

body linkage.

• Shut off the engine and disconnect the Idle Air

Bypass electrical connector.

• 302/351 Engines: Disconnect the idle bypass

electrical connection on the driver side of the

throttle body.

• 460 Engines: The idle bypass valve is located

on the intake manifold and does not require

disconnecting.

STEP 4

• Remove the throttle body TPS from the old

throttle body and install into the BBK Throttle

Body.

• 302/351w Engines: Remove and re-install the

Idle Air Bypass Solenoid to the BBK throttle

body using the supplied gasket.

• Remove the four mounting bolts attaching the

throttle body to the intake manifold. Remove the

throttle body and old gasket. Be sure to clean

the intake surface of any old gasket material.

• With everything reconnected, start the engine

and let it come up to operating temperature.

Reconnect the Idle Air Bypass electrical connector. STEP 10 • Using a volt meter, turn the ignition key to the ON position and read the voltage at the GREEN WIRE at the TPS sensor.
