STEP 8
Disconnectthefuellinesandelectricalwiringtothetankunit.Besureall
otherlinesandwiresaredisconnectedfromthefueltankbeforeremoving
the fuel tank from the vehicle.
STEP 9
Carefullylowerthefueltankoutofthevehicle.
CAUTION: Take care when lowering the fuel tank from the vehicle.
Be careful not to cause sparks in or around the fuel tank.
STEP 10
Cleananydebrisorforeignmaterialfromaroundthetankunitareaofthe
fueltank.Notethedirectionofthefuelouttube!
STEP 11
Removethemoduleassemblyangebolts.
STEP 12
Checktheinsideofthefueltankforforeigndebrisandcleanoutthetank
if necessary.
STEP 13
Pull the Tank Unit assembly ange up and out of the fuel tank until the
lockingtabsareaccessible.Reachthroughtheopeningandsqueezethe
locking tabs together and remove the module from the tank by lifting up
and out.
STEP 14
Cleanthetankunitangemountingsurface.Installthetankunitmoduleby
pushingdown onthe moduleuntilthe moduletabs clickand engagethe
retainer.
STEP 15
Installthetankunitangeonthefueltankwiththefuelouttubeinthesame
directionaswhenremoved.Fingertightenallthebolts,thentightenusing
thesequenceshownintheimagebelow.
