If you enter "Y", the new configuration for that port will be stored
permanently in non-volatile memory, and the Model 24 will
subsequently power-up at that configuration. If you enter "N", the new
configuration will be stored in RAM, and on the next power-up, the
Model 24 will revert to the previous configuration.
The Model 24 will then respond with the revised serial port
configuration menu and the prompt:
