Depth Finder
Your boat may come equipped with a depth finder. It will provide you with mea-
surements of water depth beneath the boat and in many cases it may help you locate
schools of fish. The depth finder comes with its own manual. We suggest that you
read it carefully before using the unit.
Anchoring
Read and understand the Anchoring section of the
Sport Boat Owners Manual.
DO NOT use the depth finder as a navigational aid to prevent collision,
grounding, boat damage or personal injury. When the boat is moving, sub-
merged objects will not be seen until they are already under the boat. Bot-
tom depths may change too quickly to allow time for the boat operator to
react. If you suspect shallow water or submerged objects, run the boat at
very slow speeds.
WARNING!
!
FLOODING AND SWAMPING HAZARD - Never anchor by the stern alone--
there is less freeboard and flooding or swamping is more likely to occur. When
using only one anchor, secure the anchor line to the bow cleat or bow eye.
