Special hazards arising from the chemical
May explode if mixed with oxidizers. Ammonia gas may be released in a fire.
Thermal decomposition
Oxides of sulfur and nitrogen, phosphorus-containing compounds, ammonia, and other unknown hazardous
materials may be formed in a fire situation. Incomplete combustion may lead to formation of carbon monoxide
and/or other asphyxiants.
Protection equipment and precautions for firefighters
Use personal protective equipment as in any fire; wear self-contained breathing apparatus pressure-demand,
MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent) and full protective gear.

Personal Precautions: Avoid dust formation. Avoid breathing dust. Wear protective clothing and face
protection.
Emergency precautions
Environmental Precautions: Consult a regulatory specialist to determine appropriate state or local reporting
requirements, for assistance in waste characterization and/or hazardous waste
disposal and other requirements listed in pertinent environmental permits. Do not
flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. Do not allow material to
contaminate ground water system. Local authorities should be advised if
significant spillages cannot be contained.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Methods for Clean-Up: Sweep up material carefully to avoid excess dust. Reuse material if possible. If
original containers are not available and material is not reusable, place in metal
drum and seal. Dispose of in accordance with instructions in Section 13.

Precautions for safe handling
Handling Wear personal protective equipment. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid
dust formation in confined areas. Remove and wash contaminated clothing
before re-use. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.
