Enter the RPC unit ID, followed by a carriage return. The
RPC resumes the configuration menu. NOTE: The
factory default Unit ID is RPC-3.
Access IMPORTANT If username and password are disabled
(factory default), outlet users will have access to all
admin functions.
Login Setup allows the user to enable or disable username
and password login for both serial and network ports. If the
features are enabled, the RPC requires username and
password entry before allowing access to the unit.

To configure the login setup, select #5, “Access,” from the
configuration menu, followed by a carriage return <cr>.
The RPC-3 or RPC-3A responds with the following Login
Setup menu:
Login Setup
Toggle option by entering number, CR to exit
Network Access:
1) . . . Prompt for user name: disabled
2) . . . Prompt for password: disabled
Serial Port Access:
3) . . . Prompt for user name: disabled
4) . . . Prompt for password: disabled
Enter option >
Enter the number that corresponds to the prompt you want
to toggle. The unit responds by asking if you want to
enable the prompt, if it is currently disabled or disable the
prompt, if it is currently enabled. Type “Y” for “Yes,” or
“N” for “No,” accordingly.
