RPC responds indefinitely with “Enter old password:” until
the old password has been entered correctly. NOTE A
carriage return <cr> will exit to user menu. If you enter
the current password correctly, the RPC responds:
Enter new password (<= 8 characters) >
Enter a new password (maximum field length, 8 alpha-
numeric characters), followed by a carriage return. The
RPC responds with:
Confirm by Re-Entering New Password:

Re-enter the new password identically to the first entry.
Remember that the password feature is case sensitive.
If you fail to re-enter the new password correctly, the RPC
responds indefinitely with “Confirm by Re-Entering New
Password:” until the new password has been re-entered
correctly. NOTE A carriage return <cr> will exit to
user menu. If you re-enter the new password correctly, the
RPC returns to the configuration menu.
NOTE Entering a null password for a particular user
will act to disable login requirement of a password for
that user. Thus, if username and password prompts are
enabled, it is possible to configure a unit to allow
nonauthenticated access to some users while requiring a
password from others.
Change NOTE If an outlet user’s list is changed and he is
Outlet List logged in at the time, his outlet list dynamically changes.
If enabled, an updated outlet status report will be
issued.

number of the user to modify, followed by a carriage
