The installation area should be clean and free of extreme temperatures and
humidity. Allow sufficient space behind the RPC unit for cabling and
receptacle connections.
3.3 SAFETY OPERATIONS
When operating, installing, maintaining, transporting, or storing
equipment, take the following special precautions to avoid the introduction
of hazards.

CAUTION For indoor use only.
NOTE Refer to the National Electrical Code (NEC) for applicable
wiring standards.
1. Be sure to connect this device to a grounded (three-prong)
receptacle. The receptacle must be installed near the equipment
and easily accessible.
2. Do not exceed the AC current rating for the selected model. (See
Appendix B “SPECIFICATIONS” for each RPC model).
3. Although the power switch is turned OFF, the unit is not totally
isolated from the power supply. In order to be absolutely removed
from the power supply, the power supply must be unplugged from
the unit.
IMPORTANT For PERMANENTLY CONNECTED
EQUIPMENT, a readily accessible disconnect device
shall be incorporated in the fixed wiring; for
PLUGGABLE EQUIPMENT, the socket-outlet shall be
installed near the equipment and easily accessible.
4. Do not install near water or expose this unit to moisture.
5. To prevent heat buildup, do not coil the power cord when in use.
6. Avoid the use extension cords.
7. When connecting other equipment to the RPC, remove power from
both units.
8. Do not attempt to make any internal changes to the power source.
