Parameter: Severity Mask

Function: Identiﬁes the types of event severity to forward.

Instructions: If you speciﬁed a range of event numbers (using the Log Evt Lower

Bound and Log Evt Upper Bound parameters), syslog ignores this

parameter.

If you did not specify a range of event numbers, enter the types of events

you want to forward. The syslog facility ignores any events that you do

not specify. Use the ﬁrst letter of each severity type you want to include:

w - warning

i - informational

t - trace

f - fault

d - debug

Be sure to type lowercase letters only. Do not separate the letters with

commas or spaces.
