Event Logging: Specifies the types of events that will be displayed in the Event Log screen (see “Display
Event Log” on page 3-47).
Default Value: All
Range: All, None, Accesses, Failures
Description: ALL—logs the following TELNET events to the Event Log screen:
• TELNET connect—indicates the IP address and access mode of
the connected TELNET session.
• TELNET disconnect—indicates the IP address of the remote host
and the access mode, due to either a logout or inactivity.
• Failed TELNET connection attempts—indicates the IP address of
the remote host when the remote host's IP address is not on the
list of allowed addresses, or the IP address of the remote host that
did not supply the correct password.
None—indicates that no TELNET events will be logged into the Event
Log screen.
Accesses—logs only TELNET connect and disconnect events into the
Events Log screen.
Failures—logs only failed TELNET connection attempts into the
Events Log screen.
Allowed Source
IP Address
Specifies up to 10 user-assigned host IP addresses that are allowed TELNET access to
the CI.
Default Value: 0.0.0.0 (no IP address assigned)
Range: Four-octet decimal IP address notation, where each octet of the
address is represented as a decimal value, separated by a decimal
point
Allowed Source
Mask
Specifies up to 10 user-assigned allowed source address masks. The remote IP address
is masked with the source mask, and, if the resulting value equals the source IP address,
then the connection is allowed.
Default Value: 0.0.0.0 (no IP mask assigned)
Range: Four-octet decimal IP address notation, where each octet of the
address is represented as a decimal value, separated by a decimal
point
