Using Technician Interface Software
2-4
303561-A Rev 00
Example:
The following commands set the Parity parameter to Odd:
set wfSerialPortEntry.wfSerialPortParity.1 2
or
set wfSerialPortEntry.10.1 2
Using the commit Command
Enter the following command after issuing one or more set commands:
commit
The commit command causes the changes you made to the configuration to take
effect in active memory, but not in flash memory. You must use the
save
command subsequently to save changes to a configuration file (config) and flash
volume on the router.
The Technician Interface software service resets when you enter the
commit
command.
Using the save Command
After you set and commit changes to the current configuration running in active
memory on the router, use the
save command to store that configuration to a file
on a flash memory volume, as follows:
save config
<vol>
:
<filename>
Note:
You can use s instead of set.
Note:
You can also use the save command to save the current contents of the
routers event log, environment variable list, or alias list. See Chapters 6, 7, and
9 for more information about these applications of the
save
command.
