Chapter 7
7. BIOS
This chapter describes the AMIBIOS Setup Utility for the C2108-TY11 serverboard. The
AMIBIOS ROM is stored in a Flash EEPROM and can be easily updated. This chapter describes
the basic navigation of the AMIBIOS Setup Utility setup screens.
Starting BIOS Setup Utility
To enter the AMIBIOS Setup Utility screens, press the <Delete> key while the system is booting
up.
Note: In most cases, the <Delete> key is used to invoke the AMIBIOS setup screen. There are
a few cases when other keys are used, such as <F1>, <F2>, etc.
Each main BIOS menu option is described in this manual. The Main BIOS setup menu screen has
two main frames. The left frame displays all the options that can be configured. Grayed-out
options cannot be configured. Options in blue can be configured by the user. The right frame
displays the key legend. Above the key legend is an area reserved for a text message. When an
option is selected in the left frame, it is highlighted in white. Often a text message will accompany
it.
Note: The AMIBIOS has default text messages built in. These text messages my be included,
omitted, or changed across BIOS releases.
The AMIBIOS Setup Utility uses a key-based navigation system called "hot keys". Most of the
AMIBIOS setup utility "hot keys" can be used at any time during the setup navigation process.
These keys include <F1>, <F10>, <Enter>, <ESC>, arrow keys, etc.
