5: Advanced Serverboard Setup
For blades configured with two processor sockets, install the memory DIMMs in the following
order:
• 6 DIMMs = Install DIMMs:
• P1 DIMM 1A, P1 DIMM 2A, and P1 DIMM 3A
• P2 DIMM 1A, P2 DIMM 2A, and P2 DIMM 3A
• 12 DIMMs = Install the above six then install the following six DIMMs:
• P1 DIMM 1B, P1 DIMM 2B, and P1 DIMM 3B
• P2 DIMM 1B, P2 DIMM 2B, and P2 DIMM 3B
• 18 DIMMs = Install the above twelve then install the following six DIMMs:
• P1 DIMM 1C, P1 DIMM 2C, and P1 DIMM 3C
• P2 DIMM 1C, P2 DIMM 2C, and P2 DIMM 3C
•
For blades configured with one processor socket, install the memory DIMMs in the following
order:
• 3 DIMMs = Install DIMMs:
• P1 DIMM 1A, P1 DIMM 2A, and P1 DIMM 3A
• 6 DIMMs = Install the above three then install the following three DIMMs:
• P1 DIMM 1B, P1 DIMM 2B, and P1 DIMM 3B
• 9 DIMMs = Install the above six then install the following three DIMMs:
• P1 DIMM 1C, P1 DIMM 2C, and P1 DIMM 3C
