Remote Annex 2000 Dumps
In the unlikely event that the Remote Annex 2000 generates a dump,
you can send the file to Xylogics for evaluation, either by Internet/
ftp or by sending it on tape.
To ftp a dump via Internet, use anonymous ftp to xylogics.com and
perform the following steps:
❑ Use cd to change to the /annex/incoming directory.
❑ Use mkdir to create a directory, using your site as the
directory name.
❑ Use cd to change to the new directory.
❑ Transfer the dump file in compressed and binary form.
❑ Send electronic mail to annex-ftp@xylogics.com to notify
Technical Support that you are transferring a dump file.
Include details about the crash, e.g., error messages, network
configuration, user activity, commands issued, etc.
To send a tape, tar the dump onto either a 9-track (1600 bpi) or
a 1/4-inch cartridge (QIC 11) tape, and send it to:
