Event and Alarm Messages
What Is in This Chapter
This chapter describes the events and alarms generated by the SynOptics
Series 5000 management modules and provides any probable cause messages
corresponding to these events.
Events and alarms originate as generic SNMP traps sent from the physical
device. These traps, or unsolicited messages, translate as SPECTRUM events
and display in the Event Log. For more information, refer to the MIB
documentation for the specific device.
For each event/alarm, the following information is provided:
•The event code
• The event/alarm message
• Any probable cause message for the mapped alarm
• Any recommended actions
