GENERAL
Use the camera number keys (1 to 6) to enter the old user password.
Enter a new password using the camera number keys (1 to 6).
Re-enter the new password.
The user password has been changed.
Set installer password allows you to select a new installer password. The password setting process is the same as for setting
a new user password.
BASE CAMERA NUMBER
Selecting Base camera number allows you to set the base number for camera number 1 on the unit. For example, if you had
three Vivid DVR’s all with 16 cameras connected to them, then the base camera on the first unit would be set to 1, the second
unit to number 17, and the third unit to number 33. Select from 0 to 240.
UNIT DESCRIPTION
selecting Unit description opens a menu similar to the following:
Model name shows the model of the unit and the maximum number of cameras that can be connected to it.
Software version information only - required when contacting technical support.
Video format shows the format of the connected video sources.
Unit description allows you to enter a description for the unit. To enter a description:
1. Select the field and press the enter key.
2. Use the up or down arrow keys to change the selected first character of the description. Available options include A to Z in
both upper and lower case, 0 to 9, and various ASCII characters. A USB keyboard can also be used for convenience.
3. After the first character has been edited, use the right arrow key to move to the next character. Edit the character as in step
2 above.
4. When the description is complete, press the enter key to exit.
MAC address shows the MAC address of the unit.
Serial number shows the serial number of the unit.
