SMTP Server allow you to set up the SMTP properties of the email. Editing is achieved in exactly the same way as editing an
IP address above.
SMTP Port allows the SMTP port number to be selected. Select the field and press the enter key. Use the up/down keys to
select the port number (1 to 65535)
SMTP Domain allows you to enter the SMTP domain. Select the field and press the enter key. The domain will be opened in a
sub menu with the first character selected:
To edit the SMTP Domain:
1. Use the up or down arrow keys to change the selected first character of the domain. Available options include A to Z in both
upper and lower case, 0 to 9, and various ASCII characters. A USB keyboard can also be used for convenience.
2. After the first character has been edited, use the right arrow key to move to the next character. Edit the character as in step
1 above.
3. When the domain is complete, press the enter key to exit.
From Address allows you to enter an address that will be included in the email’s ‘From’ line. Selection and editing is done in the
same way as the SMTP domain, above.
Email addresses these fields allow you to enter up to five email addresses. Selection and editing is done in the same way as
the SMTP domain, above. A maximum of five email addresses can be set up.
Local domain (only visible if Ethernet enabled is set to Yes) allows you to set the local domain name. Selection and editing is
done in the same way as the SMTP domain, above.
Bandwidth limit (only visible if Ethernet enabled is set to Yes) allows you to set the maximum network bandwidth used by the
Vivid DVR. Values are 5% to 100%.
Use proxy server allows you to enable or disable a proxy server. Options are Yes or No. If the option is set to Yes, additional
menu items will be displayed.
Proxy server (only visible if Use proxy server is set to Yes) allows you to enter the proxy server’s name. Editing is done in the
same way as the SMTP domain, above.
Proxy port (only visible if Use proxy server is set to Yes) allows you to enter the proxy server’s port. Select the field and press
the enter key. Use the up/down arrow keys to change the port number. Press the enter key when finished.
Proxy username and Proxy password (only visible if Use proxy server is set to Yes) allow the proxy username and password
to be entered. Editing is done in the same way as for SMTP Domain above.
RS485 Usage allows you to select what the RS485 port will be used for. Select the field and press the enter key. Use the up/
down arrow keys to select either Dome control or External keyboard. Press the enter key when finished.
RS485 address (only visible if External keyboard is selected in the RS485 usage field) Allows you to enter the address of the
external keyboard. Select 1 to 100.
Dome protocol (RJ45) allows you to select the dome protocol for use with the RJ45 connector on your Vivid unit. Select the
field and press the enter key. Use the up/down arrow keys to select either Pelco D (or any dome that supports Pelco D
protocol), American Dynamics or Baxall Prodome. Press the enter key when finished.
Dome protocol (screw) allows you to select the dome protocol for use with the screw connectors on your Vivid unit. Select the
field and press the enter key. Use the up/down arrow keys to select either Pelco D (or any dome that supports Pelco D
protocol), American Dynamics or Baxall Prodome. Press the enter key when finished.
RS232 Setup allows you to set the RS232 port options. Select the field and press the enter key to open the RS232 setup menu.
Baud rate select from 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, or 115200.
Bits select from 5, 6, 7 or 8.
Parity select from None, Even or Odd.
Stop bits select from 1 or 2.
Flow control select from Hardware, Software or None.
MAC address shows the Vivid unit’s MAC address (information only)
