CAMERAS
VIDEO LOSS ACTION
The video loss action options are accessed by selecting the Video loss action>> field on the Camera setup page and pressing
the enter key.
Trigger relay 1
When an event is detected by the camera, this option allows you to initiate the action set for Relay 1 (see Relays). Options are
enabled [X] or disabled (default disabled).
Trigger relay 2
When an event is detected by the camera, this option allows you to initiate the action set for Relay 2 (see Relays). Options are
enabled [X] or disabled (default disabled).
Send email
When an event is detected by the camera, this option allows you to send an email. Options are enabled [X] or disabled (default
disabled). Email parameters are set up under Hardware setup > Networking > Email setup. Email will only work if the Vivid DVR
is connected to a network.
Display main monitor alert
When an event is detected by the camera, this option allows you to display an alert on the main monitor. Options are enabled
[X] or disabled (default enabled).
Display spot monitor alert
When an event is detected by the camera, this option allows you to display an alert on the spot monitor. Options are enabled
[X] or disabled (default disabled).
Sound buzzer
When an event is detected by the camera, this option allows you to sound an audible warning using the unit’s built in buzzer.
Options are enabled [X] or disabled (default enabled).
Light alarm LED
When an event is detected by the camera, this option allows you to illuminate the Alarm led on the front panel of the Vivid DVR.
Options are enabled [X] or disabled (default enabled).
Auto-copy event
When an event is detected by the camera, this option allows you to automatically copy event data, as it happens, to a
predetermined place which is set up within the disk manager menu. Options are enabled [X] or disabled (default enabled).
Other Camera Setup page information
Min recording time provides an estimate of the minimum recording time available with the current record settings.
Max recording time provides an estimate of the maximum recording time available with the current record settings.
Next page opens the camera setup page for the next camera.
Exit closes the camera setup page and returns to the Hardware setup menu.
