4.4  Signal Processing 
4.4.1  Moving Average Filter 
This parameter is valuable for more experienced users or to fine tune the trade-off between accuracy and 
measurement speed. A reduced accuracy can be caused by weak reflecting objects, by fast temperature 
variations of the environment or wind disturbances. The negative results of these effects can be reduced with 
the moving average filter. As the moving average filter averages multiple values, it leads to an increased 
response time. When the parameter is set to 12ms the filter is deactivated and no values are averaged. The 
figure below shows an example.
