Main oven thermostat control knob
The oven thermostat control knob should be
turned clockwise and it sets the required
temperature of the oven. It is possible to
regulate the temperature within a range of 50 -
250°C.
Secondary oven function and thermostat control knob
If you turn the control knob anti clockwise, it
will automatically select the oven light
function first. If you continue turning the
control knob, you will select the conventional
oven function. You can regulate the
conventional oven between a temperature of
50 - 250°C.
To use one of the other functions, you should turn the dial past the
250°C setting and select the following functions.
UPPER ELEMENT ONLY: This method of cooking uses the
outer part of the top element to direct gentle heat
downwards onto the food. For gentle cooking, browning or
keeping cooked dishes warm.
LOWER ELEMENT ONLY: This method of cooking uses the
lower element to direct heat upwards to the food. For slow-
cooking recipes or for warming up meals.
GRILL ELEMENT ONLY: This method of cooking utilises the
top element, which directs heat downwards onto the food.
This function is suitable for grilling small portions of bacon,
toast and meat etc.
Oven operating light
This light will come on to indicate that the oven’s heating elements are
in operation. The light will turn off when the temperature set on the
thermostat control knob has been reached. It will cycle on and off
throughout the cooking time.
You should not place food inside the cavity, until the correct
cooking temperature has been reached.
