If the Home Network / Hot Spot connection fails, then try the following…
a. Check that the signal strength between the Wi-Fi Range Extender and your Home Network/Wireless
Hot Spot is above 70%. If it is not, you may need to reposion the Wi-Fi Range Extender.
b. Check to see that your Home Network / Hot Spot security sengs are correct.
c. Check that your Home Network router’s DHCP server is enabled.
d. Try changing the channel of the Home Network router to a higher channel number (5-11) and run the
Setup Wizard
again.
e. If possible, check the Internet connecon for your Home Network wireless router. Connect directly to
your Home Network wireless router. If you are unable to access the internet through the Home
Network wireless router you must first fix this problem. The Wi-Fi Range Extender will not be able to
obtain internet access through a router that does not have internet access. Once Internet access is
rest
ored, connect to the Wi-Fi Range Extender again and retry the Smart Setup Wizard.
f. Return to the Smart Setup Wizard and aempt to connect
to another Home Network known to have
Internet access.
g. Try to reboot (unplug the power from the Wi-Fi Range Extender and plug it back in) the Wi-Fi Range
Extender and check to see if the connecon is established (some networks may be very slow and take
longer than the alloed me for the Wi-Fi Range Extender to successfully connect).
