Instructions / Assembly

NOTE: Any repairs, if needed, should be completed prior to using the tack cloth.
STEP 6: Using the tack cloth provided, rub over the entire surface in
an effort to remove all foreign materials from the areas. The bathtub or
wall surfaces should now be smooth, completely cleared, and ready to
be rolled with the refinishing product.
CAUTION: In the following steps - proper ventilation, gloves, and eye wear are
strongly recommended. Use all paint products with caution.
STEP 7: Retrieve the liquid primer from the kit. Empty contents into a
paper towel and then apply to surfaces intended for refinishing,
ensuring that all surfaces are covered completely. Dispose of used
paper towel in a closed plastic bag (to minimize fumes) when complete.
Allow the primer to dry on the surface for 5 minutes.
STEP 8: Retrieve paint materials from kit (Part A - Refinishing Paint
and Part B - Hardener.) Empty contents from both bottles into
provided Mixing Container and mix thoroughly for 3 minutes with the
provided stir stick until completely dispersed. Exercise caution as to
not create air bubbles while mixing. Allow mixed paint to sit for 5
minutes.
NOTE: The "pot-life" for this product mixture is approximately 2-3 hours (at 70°F)
This is the time frame you have to complete this project before any mixed paint
becomes unusable.
OPTIONAL: If you purchased a kit with the Non-Slip Protection, fill the
container that holds the additive to about 3/4 full with the paint mixture you just
created. Mix well. Pour mixture into the center of the tub floor. Using the 2"
sponge roller, roll an oval or rectangular shape in desired Non-Slip area. Allow to
set for 10 minutes.
STEP 9: Pour paint mixture into provided paint tray, ensuring that there
is proper surface protection underneath the tray and the tray is in good
condition. Next, using the provided 2" foam brush, use a dab
application technique to paint around all edges and areas where a
roller will not fit. Then, using the provided 4" foam roller, roll the inside
walls of the tub. Following, roll the bottom and up the curves of the tub.
Additionally, roll the top edge of the tub (leaving the top deck surface
for last.) Next, roll the front of the tub. Finally, roll the top deck surface.
NOTE: Remember to use a good amount of paint material while rolling.
Never "dry-roll" as it will result in product failure. This is very important.
