8. You must accept the end-user software license agreement by clicking
Yes
to continue the installation.
9. We recommend that you accept the default destination location
(c:\v1_57) and the default program menu folder (Interactive
Frontiers).
10. We recommend that you install all software components.
Choosing to install the “empty database files” will overwrite
any information contained in your V1 database from a previous
installation (at the chosen destination location).
11. The V1 will automatically create icons for itself on your desktop and
on your
Start
menu.
12. The installer will detect a V1 version 5.5 or version 5.0 installation and
offer to import those database files.
13. Now, double-click the V1 software icon and you are ready to begin
using the V1.
When you first connect your camera to the computer and turn it on,
you will see a window like the one below. You need to select
Take no
action
and then check the
Always perform the selected action
option.
This will ensure that your camcorder will work properly with the computer and
the V1 software. Otherwise, Windows will try to capture your camera for use
with Microsoft’s Movie Maker program. If this happens, you will not see your
camcorder in the V1 software.
Launching the V1
To open the V1 software, double-click the
V1 Professional
software icon
found on your desktop. You may instead click your computer’s
Start
button,
then
Programs
, then
Interactive Frontiers
, and then finally
V1 Professional Version
