5. System operation very noisy. 1. Chain may be too slack. Verify chain slack and tighten if
necessary (refer to S
ECTION 5.4.4).
2. Lubricate sprockets and shaft with lithium-base grease
(P117951-457).
3. Chain gear may be worn out. Inspect gears for abnormal
wear. Change if necessary.
4. Gear setscrews may be loose. Tighten setscrews.
5. Sprocket shaft brass bushing may be worn out, causing
abnormal gear wear. Verify sprocket shaft bushing and
change if necessary.
6. Shear pin may be worn out. Inspect shear pin and change
if necessary (refer to S
ECTION 5.4.5).
