Installation and connection
Observe all safety instructions!
The thermostat features 4 terminals for
cable lugs; please refer to the imprint on the
bottom of the thermostat.
If in doubt, have the installation and
connection done by an expert.
Mode of operation
Within the capillary tube (and sensor tip), which is rmly connected to the
thermostat, there is a liquid that expands when heated. At the end of the capillary
tube inside the thermostat, there is a so-called pressure box that has been
preloaded mechanically via the adjustment shaft.
A heating device activated via switch contact increases the temperature; the liquid
of the respectively installed sensor heats up while expanding at the same time.
Once a certain temperature has been reached, the actuator on the pressure box
will interrupt the power circuit.
The temperature will then drop, and the liquid inside the capillary tube contracts.
Again, once a certain temperature has been reached, the power circuit will be
closed and the whole process starts from the beginning.
The temperature, at which the thermostat interrupts the power circuit, can be
changed via the adjustment shaft.
Since it is not an electronic control, this thermostat does not support the precise
selection of a certain temperature.
The switch contact allows for control towards heating and cooling,
depending which contact of the thermostat is used for the connection
(C + 2 or C + 1).
Disposal
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with
applicable regulatory guidelines.
