7. Installation and connection
Observethechapter“SafetyInformation”!
Useasuitablemains supplyline(e.g.NYM-J)withalinecross-sectionof
1.5 mm².
Theroomthermostatmustbeprotectedwitha10/16Afuseintheon-site
sub-distribution.Aresidual-currentcircuit-breaker(FIprotectionswitch)must
beusedupstreamofthis.
Connectionandinstallationareonlypermittedinthepowered-downcondi-
tion.
Turnoffthepoweronallpolesofthemainssupplybyremovingtherespec-
tive electric circuit fuse or switching off the circuit breaker. Also switch off
therespectivefault-currentprotectiveswitch.Protectitfromunauthorisedre-
activation, e.g. with a danger sign.
Checkthatthemainsconnectionisfreeofcurrent,e.g.withanappropriate
tester.
The room thermostat consists of
twopartsthatareheldtogetherby
clips.Theelectronicpartswithtem-
perature sensor, display andcon-
trolpanelareinthefrontpart.The
batteries (2xtypeAA/Mignon, not
included,canbeorderedseparate-
ly) are placed inthis part.Please
payattentiontothecorrectpolarity
(observeplus/+andminus/-)when
inserting the battery.
