Check to make sure there is no voltage with a suitable measuring
instrument (e.g., a digital multimeter).
Neverconnecttheproducttothepowersupplyimmediatelyafter
it has been transferred from a cold room into a warm one (e.g.,
duringtransport).Thecondensationthatformsmightdestroythe
device. Moreover, there is danger of electric shock!
Allowtheproducttoreachroomtemperature.Waituntilthecon-
densationhasevaporated.Thismighttakeseveralhours.Only
afterthis,shoulditbeinstalled,connectedtothemainssupply
andputintouse.
Donotusetheproductinroomswithadverseenvironmentalcon-
ditions,wherecombustiblegases,vapoursordustareormaybe
present!Thereisadangerofexplosion!
Donotexceedthemax.connectionload/switchingcapacity(see
thechapter“Technicaldata”).
c) Batteries/rechargeable batteries
In general, it is possible to operate the room thermostat with
rechargeable batteries. However, due to the lower voltage of
rechargeable batteries (rechargeable battery = 1.2 V, battery =
1.5V)andthelowercapacitythereisashorteroperatingtime.
Werecommendthatyouusepreferablyhigh-qualityalkalinebat-
teriesinordertoallowforlong-lastingandreliableoperation.
Batteries/rechargeablebatteriesmustbekeptout of the reach
of children.
Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around; they
couldbeswallowedbychildrenorpets.Ifswallowed,consulta
doctor immediately. Danger to life!
Acid contact due to leaking or damaged single/rechargeable bat-
teriescanburnyourskin,thereforeusesuitableprotectivegloves.
