safetyandapprovalreasons(CE).Donotopen/disassemble!Itdoesnotcontain
anyinternalpartsthatneedtobeadjustedormaintainedbyyou.
  Maintenance,adjustmentorrepairworkmayonlybecarriedoutbyanexpert/
authorisedservicecentre,whichisfamiliarwiththehazardsinvolvedandtherel-

Onlyusetheproductwhenitissecurelyinstalledandsteady.Usetheproducte.g.in
asuitableushorsurfacebox(orinanothersuitablehousing),sothattherequired
protectionagainstcontactisensured.
 • Thesafetysocketisequippedwithachildsafetydevice.Onlywhentheprongsof
apowerplugareplacedinbothopeningsofthesocketatthesametimewillthe
child-lockmechanismreleasetheopening.
  Nevertheless,takespecialcautionwhenchildrenarearound.Childrencannotrec-
ognisethedangerarisingfromtheincorrectuseofelectricaldevices.Thereisa
riskofalife-threateningelectricshock!
 • Theproductmustnotbeexposedtoextremetemperatures,directsunlight,strong
vibrations,dust,dirt or heavymechanicalstress. Keep theproductaway from
strongmagneticeldsgeneratedbymachines,electricmotorsorloudspeakers.
 • Donotoperatethedeviceinenvironmentswheretherearehighlevelsofdust,
ammablegases,vapoursorsolvents.Thereisadangerofreandexplosion!
 c)Installation,connection
 • TheproductisdesignedaccordingtoprotectionclassI.Theprotectiveearthcon-
ductormustbeconnected!
  Ifthereisnomainssupplylinewithprotectiveearthingconductoravailableatthe
installationsite,theproductmaynotbeconnectedandinstalled.First,drawanew
mainscablewithprotectiveearth.
  Ifnoprotectiveearthisconnected,faultsmaygiverisetoadangerofalethal
electricshock!
 • Duringinstallation,allpolesmustbedisconnectedfromthemainsvoltage,e.g.,
viaRCD.BetweentheRCDandtheproduct,theremustbeanappropriatelydi-
mensionedfuseorcircuitbreaker(max.16A).
 • Installtheproductonlyinaneasy-to-reachposition.
 • Performinstallationandconnectiononlywhenallsupplylinesaredisconnected
fromthemains voltage. Otherwise,thereis a riskofa life-threatening electric
shock!

