Operation
a) Connection
• ConnecttheMicro-USBplugontheincludedUSBcabletotheMicro-USBsocketonthe
backofthecharger.
• ThechargercanbesuppliedwithpowerviatheincludedpoweradapterorviaaUSBport
onyourcomputer.
- Power adapter:ConnecttheUSB-AplugontheUSBcabletothecorrespondingsocketon
thepoweradapter.Thenplugthepoweradapterintoacommonhouseholdpoweroutlet.
- Computer:ConnecttheUSB-AplugontheUSBcabletoafreeUSBportonyourcomputer.
• Theproductisnowreadyforuse.
b) Charge rechargeable batteries
• Connectuptotwo9Vrechargeableblockbatteriestothecharger‘spushbutton-shaped
contacts.Batteriescanbeconnectedonlyoneway.Donotuseanyforce.
• ThechargingslotLEDlightsupredwhilethebatteryischarging.
WhentheLEDashesred,itindicatesthattherechargeablebatteryorthecharger
isdefective.Inthiscase,disconnecttheproductfromthepowersupply.
For testing purposes, insert a new, functional rechargeable battery or test the
rechargeablebatteryinquestionwithanothercharger.
Ceaseuseofthechargerifitturnsouttobedefective.
• TheLEDlightsupgreenwhentherechargeablebatteryisfullycharged.
• Removetherechargeablebatteriesanddisconnectthechargerfromthepowersupplywhen
chargingiscomplete.
c) Charge a USB device
Always turn off the desired device before connecting it to the USB port.
Make sure the connection is correct. If the product is not connected properly,
it could overheat or cause an electric shock or re.
The current consumption of the USB device may not exceed 1000 mA when
connected to the power adapter.
If the charger is connected to your computer, the maximum current
consumption of the USB device depends on the output current of your
computer‘s USB port.
• ConnectaUSBdevicetotheUSBchargingportonthefrontofthecharger.
• YourUSBdeviceisnowcharging.ShouldyouwishtooperatetheUSBdevice,youmay
turnitonnow.
• TurnofftheUSBdeviceanddisconnectitfromtheUSBchargingportwhenitisfullycharged.
• Removethechargerfromthepowersupplywhenchargingiscomplete.
d) Notes
• IfthecurrentconsumptionoftheUSBdevicedeceeds500mA,youcanchargeuptotwo9V
rechargeableblockbatteriessimultaneously.
• IfthecurrentconsumptionoftheUSBdeviceisbetween500-1000mA,youcannotcharge
a9Vrechargeableblockbatterysimultaneously.
• If the charger is connected directly to your computer,the computer’s USB port supplies
currenttotheUSBchargingport.Asarule,currentsupplyiseither500mA(USB2.0)or
900mA(USB3.0).
• IfthechargerisconnecteddirectlytoyourcomputerandyouarechargingaUSBdevicevia
theUSBchargingport,youcannotchargea9Vrechargeableblockbatterysimultaneously.
Maintenance and cleaning
• Thisproductdoesnotrequiremaintenance.Therearenocomponentslocatedinsidethe
productyouneedtomaintain.Neveropen/dismantletheproduct.Havemaintenanceand
repairsdonebyqualiedexpertsorrepairshopsonly.
• Beforecleaning,disconnecttheproductfromthepowersupply,unplugallcablesandremove
therechargeablebatteries.
• Tocleantheproduct,adry,softandcleanclothissufcient.Youcanusealong-haired,soft
andcleanbrushandavacuumcleanertoremovedust.
• Neveruseanyaggressivecleaningagentsorchemicalsolutionsastheymaycausedamage
tothehousingorcausetheproducttomalfunction.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
householdwaste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutoryregulations.
Removeanyinsertedrechargeablebatteriesanddisposeofthemseparatelyfrom
theproduct.
b) Rechargeable batteries
Youastheenduserarerequiredbylaw(BatteryOrdinance)toreturnallusedrechargeable
batteries.Disposingoftheminthehouseholdwasteisprohibited.
Contaminatedrechargeablebatteriesarelabelledwiththissymboltoindicatethat
disposalinthedomesticwasteisforbidden.Thedesignationsfortheheavymetals
involvedare:Cd=Cadmium,Hg=Mercury,Pb=Lead(nameonrechargeable
batteries,e.g.belowthetrashiconontheleft).
Usedrechargeablebatteriescanbereturnedtocollectionpointsinyourmunicipality,ourstores
orwhereverrechargeablebatteriesaresold.
Youthusfullyourstatutoryobligationsandcontributetotheprotectionoftheenvironment.
