Operation
a) Connection
• ConnecttheMicro-USBplugontheincludedUSBcabletotheMicro-USBsocketonthe
backofthecharger.
• ThechargercanbesuppliedwithpowerviatheincludedpoweradapterorviaaUSBport
onyourcomputer.
- Power adapter:ConnecttheUSB-AplugontheUSBcabletothecorrespondingsocketon
thepoweradapter.Thenplugthepoweradapterintoacommonhouseholdpoweroutlet.
- Computer:ConnecttheUSB-AplugontheUSBcabletoafreeUSBportonyourcomputer.
• Theproductisnowreadyforuse.
b) Charge rechargeable batteries
• Connectuptotwo9Vrechargeableblockbatteriestothecharger‘spushbutton-shaped
contacts.Batteriescanbeconnectedonlyoneway.Donotuseanyforce.
• ThechargingslotLEDlightsupredwhilethebatteryischarging.
WhentheLEDashesred,itindicatesthattherechargeablebatteryorthecharger
isdefective.Inthiscase,disconnecttheproductfromthepowersupply.
For testing purposes, insert a new, functional rechargeable battery or test the
rechargeablebatteryinquestionwithanothercharger.
Ceaseuseofthechargerifitturnsouttobedefective.
• TheLEDlightsupgreenwhentherechargeablebatteryisfullycharged.
• Removetherechargeablebatteriesanddisconnectthechargerfromthepowersupplywhen
chargingiscomplete.
c) Charge a USB device
Always turn off the desired device before connecting it to the USB port.
Make sure the connection is correct. If the product is not connected properly,
it could overheat or cause an electric shock or re.
The current consumption of the USB device may not exceed 1000 mA when
connected to the power adapter.
If the charger is connected to your computer, the maximum current
consumption of the USB device depends on the output current of your
computer‘s USB port.
• ConnectaUSBdevicetotheUSBchargingportonthefrontofthecharger.
• YourUSBdeviceisnowcharging.ShouldyouwishtooperatetheUSBdevice,youmay
turnitonnow.
• TurnofftheUSBdeviceanddisconnectitfromtheUSBchargingportwhenitisfullycharged.
• Removethechargerfromthepowersupplywhenchargingiscomplete.
d) Notes
• IfthecurrentconsumptionoftheUSBdevicedeceeds500mA,youcanchargeuptotwo9V
rechargeableblockbatteriessimultaneously.
• IfthecurrentconsumptionoftheUSBdeviceisbetween500-1000mA,youcannotcharge
a9Vrechargeableblockbatterysimultaneously.
• If the charger is connected directly to your computer,the computer’s USB port supplies
currenttotheUSBchargingport.Asarule,currentsupplyiseither500mA(USB2.0)or
900mA(USB3.0).
• IfthechargerisconnecteddirectlytoyourcomputerandyouarechargingaUSBdevicevia
theUSBchargingport,youcannotchargea9Vrechargeableblockbatterysimultaneously.
Maintenance and cleaning
• Thisproductdoesnotrequiremaintenance.Therearenocomponentslocatedinsidethe
productyouneedtomaintain.Neveropen/dismantletheproduct.Havemaintenanceand
repairsdonebyqualiedexpertsorrepairshopsonly.
• Beforecleaning,disconnecttheproductfromthepowersupply,unplugallcablesandremove
therechargeablebatteries.
• Tocleantheproduct,adry,softandcleanclothissufcient.Youcanusealong-haired,soft
andcleanbrushandavacuumcleanertoremovedust.
• Neveruseanyaggressivecleaningagentsorchemicalsolutionsastheymaycausedamage
tothehousingorcausetheproducttomalfunction.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
householdwaste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutoryregulations.
Removeanyinsertedrechargeablebatteriesanddisposeofthemseparatelyfrom
theproduct.
b) Rechargeable batteries
Youastheenduserarerequiredbylaw(BatteryOrdinance)toreturnallusedrechargeable
batteries.Disposingoftheminthehouseholdwasteisprohibited.
Contaminatedrechargeablebatteriesarelabelledwiththissymboltoindicatethat
disposalinthedomesticwasteisforbidden.Thedesignationsfortheheavymetals
involvedare:Cd=Cadmium,Hg=Mercury,Pb=Lead(nameonrechargeable
batteries,e.g.belowthetrashiconontheleft).
Usedrechargeablebatteriescanbereturnedtocollectionpointsinyourmunicipality,ourstores
orwhereverrechargeablebatteriesaresold.
Youthusfullyourstatutoryobligationsandcontributetotheprotectionoftheenvironment.
