BT-80 MOUNTABLE THERMOMETER

Intended use1.
The product is intended for measuring of temperatures from -50 to +70 ºC. The product is powered by a LR44
battery and is not suitable for industrial use. Theproductisdesignedforxedinstallationintoa56.5 x 25.5 x
16 mm (W x H x D) opening. Use only in a dry indoor environment.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the product
for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper use can
causehazardssuchasshortcircuiting,re,electricshocketc.Readtheinstructionscarefullyandkeepthem.
Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

Do not drill any holes or insert any screws into the housing to attach or mount the product. This can damage •
the product and interfere with safety.
The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.•
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous playing material •
for children.
Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity, moisture, •
ammablegases,vapoursandsolvents.
Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.•
If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any •
accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
is visibly damaged, -
is no longer working properly, -
has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or -
has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses. -
Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the •
product.
Batteries
Correct polarity must be observed while inserting the batteries.•
Batteries should be removed from the device if it is not used for a long period of time to avoid damage •
through leaking. Leaking or damaged batteries might cause acid burns when in contact with skin, therefore
use suitable protective gloves to handle corrupted batteries.
Batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave the battery lying around, as there is risk, that •
children or pets swallow it.
Batteriesmustnotbe dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into re. Never recharge non-rechargeable•
batteries.Thereisariskofexplosion!

Assembly4.
The display module with the LC display is not to be mounted or operated inside any
cooling appliance.
Create a rectangular front panel cut-out with the following dimensions: 56.5 x 25.5 x 16 mm (W x H x D)1.
Use a spirit level to ensure horizontal alignment.2.
Insert the mountable thermometer through the opening and carefully slide it into the correct position holding 3.
its front panel, not the LC display. Make sure the thermometer is properly mounted.
Battery replacement5.
Open the battery compartment. It is located on the front, next to the LC display.1.
Place a LR44 battery into the battery compartment observing the correct polarity.2.
Close the battery compartment.3.
Operation6.
When installing the temperature sensor, ensure the fridge or freezer door can still be
tightly closed.
The temperature sensor should be positioned in the centre, neither touching the walls nor
the chilled goods.
The thermometer will be turned on automatically once the batteries have been inserted.1.
Install the temperature sensor in the fridge or freezer.2.
The display will show “L” when the temperature reading falls under -50 ºC.3.
The display will show “H” when the temperature reading exceeds +70 ºC.4.
Remove the battery to turn the thermometer off.5.
Disposal7.
Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted (rechargeable) batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
(Rechargeable) batteries
Youastheenduserarerequiredbylaw(BatteryOrdinance)toreturnallusedbatteries/rechargeablebatteries.
Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that disposal in the
domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium,
Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on (rechargeable) batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or
wherever (rechargeable) batteries are sold.
