Product-specifi c safety instructions
The product is suitable only for vehicles with a battery voltage of 12 V, the minus pole must be on the chassis.
During assembly and when connecting the aerial, observe the safety instructions for electrical components (e.g. airbag,
alarm system, onboard computer, immobiliser) issued by the vehicle manufacturer.
When setting up the product, make sure that the cable is neither bent nor squeezed.
Prior to assembly (e.g. drilling holes), make sure that none of the vehicle's cables or components (battery, control units,
fuse boxes) are damaged.
Aerial cables must be laid far enough away from wiring harnesses to guarantee interference resistance. Use cable glands
at sharp-edged holes.
During installation, especially when selecting the assembly location, note the vehicle manufacturer's data that applies to your
model. Any other assembly and assembly location will invalidate the vehicle's type approval in accordance with ECE-R 26,

Assembly
Before installing and connecting, disconnect the battery. Observe the safety instructions for electrical
components (e.g. airbag, alarm system, onboard computer, immobiliser) issued by the vehicle manu-
facturer.
Drill a hole with a 21 mm diameter where the product is to be installed.
Remove the top aerial head parts (1) to (4) from the product.
Insert the plastic hose (11) into the water water outlet on the drive housing.
Guide the aerial through the installation opening from below. The two guide lugs on the retaining ring (6) must protrude
through the hole.
Place the hemisphere (3) with the gasket (4) above the antenna head. At the same time, insert the guide lug of the gasket (4)
into the opening on the rocker (5).
Place the hemisphere (2) on the aerial head.
Attach the nut (1) to the aerial head. Tighten the nut (1) only slightly.
Using the black nut (13) and a washer, fasten the
black cable (19) and the retaining bracket (12) to
the bolt on the product.
Line up the aerial and fasten the retaining brack-
et (12) to the car body using the metal screw (14).
The bracket must have an electrical connection to
the car body to guarantee the connection to the
vehicle mass.
You may need to bend the retaining bracket (12) so that it can be fastened to the car body.
Now fi rmly screw the screw nut (1) onto the aerial head.
Route the aerial cable (7), the red cable (9) and the blue cable (8) inside the vehicle.
You may need to drill holes for the car body penetrations. You can use the cable sleeves supplied for
the car body penetrations.
Connecting the cables
Connect the red cable (9) to a cable at-
tached to the battery's positive pole (e.g.
terminal 30 on the fuse box).
The cable connected to the battery's posi-
tive pole must be protected by a 5A fuse
(e.g. cable protection, not supplied as
standard).
Connect the blue cable (8) to the remote
control connection or the aerial control
output on the car radio.
Connect the aerial cable (7) to the aerial
input on the car radio (15).
Re-connect the battery.
When connecting the battery, observe the
safety instructions for electrical compo-
nents (e.g. airbag, alarm system, onboard
computer, immobiliser) issued by the vehi-
cle manufacturer.
Commissioning
Turn on the radio, the aerial will extend automatically
Turn off the radio, the aerial will retract automatically
The aerial remains extended as long +12 V are applied to the blue cable (switched via the radio).
Maintenance and care
Clean the device with a soft, clean and dry cloth. Do not use aggressive detergents or chemicals as these can damage the
housing (discolouration).
Rub the individual segments of the aerial rod regularly with a non-acidic lubricant. This will ensure these segments run smoothly
at all times.
