b) Electrical safety
Before connecting the product to the mains, check that your local A/C mains
voltage matches the specications on the nameplate.
This product is built according to protection class I. It must only be connected to
an earthed mains socket.
Never pour liquids over electrical devices or place objects lled with liquid next to
the device. If liquid or an object gets into the device, power down the respective
mains socket (e.g. switch off the circuit breaker), and then pull the mains plug
from the mains socket. Discontinue use and take the product to a specialist repair
centre.
Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into
a warm one. This may cause condensation to form, which can destroy the product.
Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it and putting it to
use. This may take several hours.
The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
Never unplug the mains plug by pulling on the cable. Always use the grips on
the plug.
Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket if you do not plan to use the
appliance for an extended period of time.
For safety reasons, disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket during
thunderstorms.
Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges
or subjected to mechanical stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains
cable from extreme heat or cold. Do not modify the mains cable, as this may
damage the components inside the cable. Damaged mains cables can cause a
fatal electric shock.
Do not touch the mains cable if there are any signs of damage. Power down the
respective mains socket (e.g. via the respective circuit breaker), and then carefully
unplug the mains plug from the mains socket. Never use the product if the mains
cable is damaged.
Damaged mains cables must be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorised
repair centre or a qualied electrician.
Never insert or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
Each socket on the power strip features a child safety lock. In order to unlock a
socket, the pins of a plug must be inserted into both of the socket openings at
the same time. Nevertheless, you should still exercise particular caution in the
presence of children. Children do not understand the hazards associated with the
incorrect use of electrical devices. There is a risk of a fatal electric shock!
Do not overload the power strip. Pay attention to the maximum total power
consumption of all connected devices in the "Technical data" section.
Insert the mains plug on the power strip into a wall socket.
Do not connect the product in series! Do not connect any other power strips or
power distribution devices to the product. This can lead to an overload and cause
a re!
Do not cover the power strip during use! The power strip and the connection cable
will become warm when there is a high connected load. This constitutes a re
hazard!
The power strip is only voltage-free when the mains plug is disconnected!
Only use the product in dry rooms.
Only use the product in temperate climates. It is not suitable for use in tropical
climates.
Setup and installation
You can place the power strip on a level surface.
Ensure that the on/off button is unobstructed and easily accessible. In addition,
ensure that it will not be touched unintentionally in the event that pressure is applied
to the top of the power strip.
Turn the hinges on the power strip to the desired position. You can adjust the position of
the hinges to suit the location, e.g. to position the sockets around furniture or household
appliances.
Before using the power strip, completely unwind the mains cable and ensure that there are
no loops.
Place the product in a suitable location. Lay the cable such that nobody will trip over it. Use
suitable padding to protect valuable surfaces against scratches.
If you wish to control the power strip with the mobile app, ensure that the power strip
is placed in a location with good Wi-Fi reception.
After pairing the power strip with your mobile device, you can plug the power strip
into another mains socket without repeating the pairing process.
