Preparation for Mounting
Before installation, switch the electricity supply and
corresponding circuit breaker and/or automatic fuse
OFF.
Secure against unauthorized restart, e.g. by installing
a warning sign.
Check the power circuit for any remaining voltage
using an appropriate measuring device.
OFF
Pay attention to the “Safety instructions” section.
The light must be protected with a 10/16A fuse at the sub-distribution. An earth leakage circuit
breaker must be installed before this.
Isolate all poles of the mains cable from the mains supply by removing the electric circuit fuse
or switching off the automatic fuse. Then turn off the earth leakage circuit breaker.
Prepare the surface for installation. It should be dry, clean, at, stable and free from debris.
Use the holes on the mounting plate as a template to mark where to place the wall plugs.
Determine the mounting direction before drilling the holes.
Mounting and Connection
a) Drill Holes / Insert Wall Plugs
Use a 6 mm diameter drill bit to drill the holes.
Check if the included screws and wall plugs are
suitable for the wall material. If in doubt contact a
specialist.

b) Open Terminal Compartment
Use a plus head screwdriver to remove all four cover retaining screws.
Keep the screws in a safe place.
c) Connect Power Supply Leads
Remove the outer insulation on the wires to a
maximum length of about 16 mm.
Strip the insulation on each of the wires on the mains
cable to a length of about 6 mm.

When connecting power supply leads, match colours
as indicated. Brown (L), Blue (N). Length of stripped
wire must not be greater than 8mm.
Make sure that all screw connections on both sides of
the terminal block are sufciently tight.
Check that the cables are not squeezed, bent or
damaged in any other way.

IP65 Ingress protection warning. Check that the rubber gasket around the power
supply lead forms a good seal. This will stop moisture from entering the cable inlet
and damaging components in the terminal compartment.
Use the retainer to secure the power supply leads.

d) Close Terminal Compartment / Replace Lamp Cover
IP65 Ingress protection warning. Make sure
the rubber gasket around the around the
covers are in place and form a good seal.
Do not over tighten screws as this may
damage the case.
Make sure the device is securely fastened
and rmly held in place before letting go
e) Switch Electricity Supply ON
Turn the corresponding circuit breaker and/or automatic fuse back ON.
If the lamp does not light up, turn OFF power to the circuit immediately.
Turn OFF the circuit breaker and/or automatic fuse.
Check the connection to the power circuit.
