b) Operation tips
• Use clamps or another practical way to secure and support the workpiece to a stable platform.
• Supports must be placed on both sides of the cutline, to prevent the blade from jamming.
• Mark the cut line on the workpiece before the operation.
• Ensure the workpiece does not contain elements of different hardness (e.g. staples, nails).
• When the tool reaches full speed, start cutting by leading the tool forward with both hands. Lightly press the tool to
the surface while leading it forward along the cut line.
• Avoid tilting the tool, or changing the cut direction abruptly.
• When cutting hard metals, exercise frequent breakes to cool the blade.
• When cutting curved lines, use a proper arc blade (with narrower blades).
• When cutting holes, mark the hole on the workpiece rst. Drill a hole alongside the marked line, with a diameter
larger than the tool’s blade. Insert the blade into the hole and saw alongside the marked line.
• Always hold the tool perpendicularly to the point to be sewn. Holding it at an angle may cause the blade jamming.
• The contact protector (1) attached to the casing prevents accidental touching of the blade during the working
procedure and should not be removed.
