Connection, start-up and operation
The audio is always played through the 3.5 mm jack plug. The USB cable is only
intended to supply power to the loudspeaker, not for the transmission of the audio
signal.
• With the volume control, which is integrated in the connecting cable, set the volume to low
by turning it towards "-".
• Connect the jack plug to the analogue audio output (line level) of your computer (e.g., la-
belled with "Audio Out", "Line Out" or "Phones"). Please consult the operating instructions
for your computer or notebook.
• Connect the USB plug of the loudspeaker to a USB port on your computer/notebook or to
that of a USB hub with its own power adaptor.
The USB port must be able to supply a current of at least 500 mA.
Thus, do not connect the speaker to a USB hub without its own power adaptor, and
do not use the USB port of a keyboard.
Insufcient power supplied by the USB port causes bad audio playback distortion,
especially at higher volumes.
• With the volume control, which is integrated in the connecting cable, the volume can be
controlled at will.
Turning the volume control towards "+": Increases the volume
Turning the volume control towards "-": Decreases the volume

• Disconnect the product from the mains supply before each cleaning procedure.
